One of the biggest movies of
2012 consisted of a man with anger management issues, a spoiled cocky genius,
and a true all American leader. Yes, that’s right ladies and gentz, today we’ll
be talking about the avengers. Not what they’ve done, or where they are, but
where they’re going! This stage of these marvel heroes careers is commonly
referred to as Marvel Phase 2. What lies ahead before the next avengers 2 movie
will certainly imprint a new kind of marketing strategy for the film industry.
There are 3 sequels included in Marvel Phase 2, first up is Thor.
“Thor: The Dark World,” Is
the movie title for Thor’s second solo movie.
Thor
Synopsis according to cosmicbooknews.com:
“Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger,
as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that
predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s Thor and Marvel’s The Avengers, Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient
race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into
darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor
must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will
reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us
all.”
With the synopsis cosmicbooknews.com offered we are given some
information on returning characters such as Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster but
what about his brother Loki? With Loki being the main villain for the Avenger
movie we are likely to see the consequences of his actions through this movie.
It has been reported that Loki will be given a more sincere side as he on a
long path of redemption. One of Thor’s greatest on screen battles was held with
the great Tony Stark aka Iron Man.
Iron Man 3 is set to be released May 3, 2013. What makes this
story intriguing is that the villain in this movie, played by Ben Kingsley does
not go straight for Tony Stark, but goes for everything else. This villain goes
out for Tony’s friends, lover, home and suits. I like this ides as it strips
the hero down to the bare essentials. This movie is trying to explore the
question; “Does the man make the suit, or does the suit make the man.” This
third sequel also seems to be exploring the roles of the secondary characters
Pepper Potts and James “Rhody” Rhodes. Pepper Potts will not be this damsel in
distress and instead make a heroin out of herself. Rhodey will be assuming the
control of the war machine suit again and will definitely in the movie.
Check out Iron Man's latest trailer:
Last of the sequels is Captain America. This sequel seems to have
less leaked information out their due to its late 2014 release. What is known
is that “As Steve Rogers continues his affiliation with
S.H.I.E.L.D and struggles to embrace his role in the modern world, he's
reunited with James 'Bucky' Barnes, who is now brainwashed Russian assassin
known as the 'Winter Soldier'” (link to more info here). Perhaps
the most interesting information about there on “Captain America: The Winter
Soldier,” is the introduction of a new super hero, The Falcon. The Falcon is
the first African American hero and has the ability to fly as well as
telepathic abilities. It also seems to be apparent by the current cast list on
IMDB that this films seems to be more S.H.I.E.L.D heavy, an organization that
specializes in these supernatural events.
Here's a movie poster:
So there you have it, all sequels leading up to the 2015 release
of the avengers 2. These movies are magical in that they make the imaginations
of our kids and our childhood reality. Hopefully you found out which of your
heroes will be returning to the big screen and maybe you didn’t. One things for
sure, you don’t want to miss out on these adventures.
